Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for hospital-based 24-hour call coverage. The physician will provide emergent call coverage, perform surgeries, and complete inpatient rounding and admissions. This role requires experience in both cranial and spinal procedures.

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour call coverage

• Approximately 14 days per month

• Weekend call included

• Providers can expect to see 5–10 inpatients per day

• Feb 26, 2026 (8am) – Mar 2, 2026 (8am)

• Apr 17, 2026 (8am) – Apr 27, 2026 (8am)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Emergent neurosurgical call coverage

• Emergent cranial and spinal surgeries

• Daily inpatient rounding and admissions

• Collaboration with neurosurgery APPs and surgical teams

Practice Environment

• Imaging, labs, procedure rooms, and OR available on-site

• Neurosurgery APP support

• Orthopedic spine coverage available

• EMR: Cerner

Assignment Details

• Start Date: January 2026

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery (no BE)

• Fellowship trained with minimum 2–3 years post-training experience

• Active Michigan license or eligibility

• ACLS certification

• Must perform both cranial and spinal procedures

• Clean malpractice and licensure history

• Recent NPDB self-query
