About the Position

A full-time Emergency Medicine Physician opportunity is available in Athens, Ohio, supporting a well-established emergency department with consistent patient volume and strong operational support. This is a permanent position within a physician-led organization focused on quality care, provider satisfaction, and efficient clinical workflows.

The emergency department features 22 treatment beds with approximately 28,000 annual visits, offering a balanced acuity mix. Physicians work 12-hour shifts with 24/7 physician coverage and robust advanced practice provider support, allowing for a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.

The position offers flexibility to work as a W2 employee or 1099 independent contractor, with reliable scheduling and on-site administrative assistance. Candidates should be experienced and comfortable practicing independently in a community emergency department setting. Relocation and local residency requirements may apply and will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
  OR
  Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
• Minimum 12 months / 2,000 hours of Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Ohio medical license (or in process)
• Active or eligible for DEA registration
• Experience performing core emergency department procedures
• Clean malpractice and licensing history
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report
• Proof of COVID vaccination status
• Not accepting new graduate candidates
• No visa sponsorship available
• Ability to commit to a full-time, permanent role
