About the Position

part-time Hematology Oncology Physician is sought to join a thriving outpatient oncology clinic in Brattleboro, Vermont. This role is ideal for a compassionate, collaborative physician seeking flexibility, a manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered oncology care in a supportive community-based setting.

The position focuses primarily on outpatient oncology, with occasional inpatient consults, seeing approximately 14–16 patients per clinic day. The physician will diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of cancer conditions using an evidence-based approach while developing individualized treatment plans.

You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team including surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and support staff. Documentation is completed using Cerner Community Works EMR. The schedule and shared call responsibilities are negotiable, and the role is well-suited for candidates seeking part-time work, long-distance commuting, or dual employment.

 

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (ABIM)
  • Active Vermont medical license or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • BLS and DEA certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Clean malpractice history
  • Willingness to participate in a shared on-call and weekend rotation
  • Open to commuting candidates (travel over one hour acceptable)
