About the Position

This is a full-time Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant opportunity in Coos Bay, Oregon, joining a collaborative and expanding orthopedic service line within an acute-care setting. The role supports a high-volume surgical team, providing comprehensive care across ED consults, inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, and perioperative management.

The PA will work closely with 2–3 orthopedic surgeons, assisting in the OR, managing pre- and post-operative patients, and providing orthopedic coverage across inpatient units and the emergency department. The environment emphasizes team-based care, structured orientation, and professional growth, with exposure to a broad range of orthopedic procedures and trauma-related cases.

Shift Timings:

• Full-time, daytime schedule
• Shared call rotation
• Occasional weekend coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Oregon PA license (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in orthopedic surgery strongly preferred
• Ability to assist in OR and manage inpatient orthopedic patients
• Clean malpractice history
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report
