We are seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO) for a permanent opportunity in Brattleboro, Vermont. ðŸĶī Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

  • Perform comprehensive orthopedic surgical procedures, including:

    • Joint replacements

    • Fracture repair

    • Arthroscopy

    • Other general orthopedic interventions

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using both surgical and non-surgical approaches

  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams, including primary care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and occupational therapy

  • Participate in a rotating on-call coverage schedule

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation

  • Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and recovery plans

  • Apply evidence-based practices and stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery

  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities

  • Adhere to all ethical, regulatory, and hospital standards of care

Requirements

✅ Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery – REQUIRED

    • If Board Eligible, graduation date must be provided

  • Active Vermont medical license – REQUIRED

  • DEA registration (prior to start) – REQUIRED

  • CPR for Healthcare Providers (prior to start) – REQUIRED

  • Clean malpractice history

  • Most recent NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) – REQUIRED

  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Commitment to quality, patient safety, and long-term practice
