We are actively seeking an experienced Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Hartford, Connecticut (06105). This opportunity is ideal for surgeons looking for consistent weekday coverage, exposure to complex cardiac and thoracic cases, and the flexibility of locum work with long-term potential.

🏥 Position Highlights

• Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery (Adult)

• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Call Coverage: Nights & weekends (rotational)

• Case Volume: Approx. 2 surgical cases per day

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based (OR, ICU, inpatient rounding)

• EMR: EPIC

• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric

🔧 Procedures & Clinical Scope

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG – on & off pump)

• Redo coronary revascularization

• Heart valve repair & replacement (including Mitral)

• Thoracic & descending aortic aneurysm repair

• Arterial revascularization techniques

• Tube thoracostomy & pericardial window

• Advanced cardiac surgical care

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery

• Active Connecticut medical license

• BLS & ACLS certification

• Clean professional background

• Comfortable with inpatient, OR, ICU, and call responsibilities
