🏥 Facility Setting: Acute Care Hospital | Inpatient & Emergency Department Orthopedic Services

We are seeking a Board-Certified NP or PA for a full-time Orthopedic APP locum opportunity with an ASAP start. This role offers hands-on orthopedic care in a collaborative hospital-based setting.

🔹 First assist in orthopedic surgery
🔹 Epic EMR documentation
🔹 Multidisciplinary team collaboration
🔹 Call coverage included (weekday, weekend & 24-hour rotation)

🩺 Key Responsibilities

✔ Daily rounds and comprehensive patient management
✔ Develop and implement care plans with attending physicians
✔ Respond to orthopedic consults in ED & inpatient units
✔ Perform diagnostic studies and orthopedic procedures
✔ Assist surgeons intraoperatively and post-op
✔ Complete H&Ps, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation
✔ Participate in quality, safety, and multidisciplinary initiatives

🛠️ Procedures May Include

• Joint & bursa aspirations/injections
• Closed reduction of fractures & dislocations
• Cast, splint & brace applications
• Wound closure, debridement & I&D
• Tendon repair, pinning, hardware & K-wire removal
• Regional anesthesia & digital blocks

Requirements

✅ Requirements

✔ Board Certified NP or PA
✔ Active Oregon state license
✔ Full-time availability
✔ Eligible for medical staff / allied health privileges
✔ NPDB Self-Query at submission
✔ CAQH profile at offer stage
✔ Ability to work independently in high-acuity environments
