About the Position

A Virginia facility is seeking an obstetrics hospitalist physician for locum tenens coverage. The role includes 24-hour call coverage with support from other obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine physicians.

• Certification Requirements: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Electronic fetal monitoring certification required
• License Requirements: Virginia license required
• Patient Volume: 72 deliveries per month
• Setting: Labor and delivery unit
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
• Support Staff:
  • Backup from other obstetricians, general surgery, and emergency medicine
  • In-house anesthesia available 24/7
• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Labor and delivery coverage
  • Emergent gynecology only
  • Assigned and unassigned patient deliveries
• Call: 24-hour call
