About the Position

• A well-established healthcare system in Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric care. This is a locum tenens opportunity due to a current vacancy, with coverage needed ASAP and ongoing.

• Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic with Hospital-Based Call
• Start Date: ASAP 
• Coverage Duration: Ongoing
• Schedule & Call
• Clinic Schedule:
• 4 × 10-hour shifts or 5 × 8-hour shifts
• Call Requirements:
• 24-hour hospital call (Tuesday–Monday)
• Two weeks per month
• 1:2 call rotation
• Patient Volume
• Clinic: 16–18 patients per day
• Hospital: Approximately 1 consult per day
• Procedures
• Joint aspirations
• Corticosteroid injections
• Practice Environment
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma Level: Level II
• Support Team: MA, RN, and front desk staff
• Credentialing
• Timeframe: 90–120 days

Requirements

• Required Qualifications
• Board Certified in Rheumatology
• Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology
• Active Michigan medical license
• BLS certification
• Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days at time of presentation)
• Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
