About the Position

🚨 UrgENT LOCUM COVERAGE NEEDED 🚨

We are actively seeking an Onsite Diagnostic Radiologist for immediate coverage at a high-acuity hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. This is a premium locum opportunity offering top-of-market hourly rates, consistent volume, and a diverse diagnostic and fluoroscopy-heavy case mix.

This role is ideal for a General Diagnostic Radiologist who is confident with fluoroscopy, including infant Barium Enema (BE) exams, and comfortable performing light image-guided procedures. You’ll work alongside an experienced clinical team in a well-established hospital environment with modern imaging technology.

Practice Details:

  1. Onsite, hospital-based assignment
  2. 8-hour shifts (M-F 8a-5p)
  3. Average daily volume: 90–100 studies
  4. Productivity expectation: 60–70 wRVUs per shift
  5. Modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine
  6. Subspecialty focus: General Diagnostic Radiology with Fluoroscopy

Light Procedural Responsibilities Include:

  1. CT/US-guided biopsies: thyroid, lung, liver, renal
  2. Drainage procedures: paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tubes, cyst drainage
  3. Diagnostic lumbar punctures
  4. Arthrograms: knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle

Requirements

  1. Board Certified in Radiology (required)
  2. Active West Virginia medical license (required)
  3. DEA registration (required)
  4. Clean malpractice history (required)
  5. Must be able to perform infant Barium Enema (BE) exams
  6. Comfortable with basic image-guided procedures
