About the Position

Wound Care APP (NP/PA) | Outpatient Clinic – Ohio
Dec 22, 2025 – Mar 31, 2026 | Locum Tenens

Description

Provide comprehensive outpatient wound care in a busy clinic setting, covering a gap between permanent hires. Manage acute, surgical, traumatic, and chronic wounds using evidence-based therapies. Supervise hyperbaric oxygen therapy and educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and manage vascular, pressure, diabetic, and other chronic ulcers

  • Treat acute, surgical, and traumatic wounds

  • Apply and manage topical therapies, bioengineered skin, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), total contact casting, and post-surgical dressings

  • Perform debridement and incision & drainage procedures

  • Supervise hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)

  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and prevention

  • Implement preventative measures to reduce incidence of pressure and vascular ulcers

Qualifications

  • NP or PA with active OH license

  • BLS required; ACLS preferred for HBOT

  • Outpatient wound care experience preferred

  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Working Hours / Shifts

  • Shift: 0800–1630, Monday–Friday; flexible

  • Open to candidates available Mon, Thu, Fri

  • Average 15–30 patients/day

  • No weekend or on-call coverage

Skills

  • Wound assessment and management

  • Debridement and advanced dressing application

  • NPWT and total contact casting

  • Patient and caregiver education

  • Ability to supervise HBOT

Compensation

  • Travel reimbursed: flight, hotel, rental car, mileage at IRS standard rate
