Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to support a new outpatient service line in Plymouth, Indiana. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, outpatient-only locum tenens position with no weekends and no call responsibilities.
The physician will manage a 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology adult and geriatric patient population in a high-volume outpatient practice, averaging 30 patients per day.
This role includes full travel reimbursement (flight, hotel, rental car, mileage), with a credentialing timeframe of 60–90 days depending on licensure.
Job Responsibilities

Outpatient management of adult and geriatric Hematology/Oncology patients

Management of VAD/CV catheters
-
Perform Bone Marrow Biopsies

Participate in Tumor Board
-
Manage bone marrow transplant cases (clinical oversight)

Order labs, blood bank tests, and diagnostic imaging

Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans

Oversee chemotherapy administration in collaboration with nurse oncologists

Document all encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
-
Board Certification in Hematology or Oncology (ABMS/AOA) with competency in the other - REQUIRED

Active Indiana medical license -Â REQUIRED

BLS certification -Â REQUIRED

Ability to perform Bone Marrow Biopsies and manage VAD/CV catheters

Experience with adult and geriatric cancer care

Ability to participate in Tumor Boards and BMT management

Must work onsite (no telehealth option)
Working Hours

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Skills
