Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details
- Position: Locum Tenens CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) – General & Orthopedic Cases
- Location: Kankakee, IL 60901 (Kankakee County; easy access to the greater Chicago area)
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens / contract (locum CRNA, locum tenens anesthesia jobs)
- Start Date: ASAP ongoing
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 32
- Call: No in-house or pager call required
- Overtime: Not expected
- Charting System: iPro
- Anesthesia Rooms: 5
- Care Team Model: MD-supervised CRNAs (2:1 ratio); anesthesiologists also perform cases
Required Qualifications – Illinois CRNA Jobs
- Active Illinois CRNA license required (candidates must already hold an IL license)
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA certified)
- Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience in acute care or perioperative (operating room) settings
- Ability to complete privileging and credentialing (estimated 60 days)
Key Responsibilities – Anesthesia & Perioperative Care
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and perioperative planning for general surgery and orthopedic anesthesia
- Obtain and verify informed consent for anesthesia services
- Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative management with patients and the surgical team
- Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for general and orthopedic procedures
- Monitor and document patient physiological status throughout procedures using iPro charting
- Perform clinical interventions as needed to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff within a supervised care-team model
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $6,020–$6,350 per week
