Outpatient surgical and obstetric anesthesia support at a rural regional medical center

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a CRNA for an ongoing locum tenens assignment supporting a rural regional medical center in northeastern Nevada. This role involves providing anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties, including ENT, GI, general surgery, OB, GYN, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedics, pain management, urology, and MRI procedures. The setting is an independent/supervised/medically directed model with all CRNA support staff in place.

This opportunity offers a broad case mix in a facility with 75 licensed beds, three main operating rooms, and one obstetric OR. The CRNA will work within a paper charting environment, with a typical call schedule of pager call at 1:3 nights and weekends, always off at least one CRNA on duty. Credentialing is estimated at approximately three months.

Clinical Scope

• Anesthesia for outpatient surgical procedures and obstetric cases
• Management of ENT, GI, general surgery, OB, GYN, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedics, pain, urology, and MRI cases
• Administration of spinal and regional anesthesia
• Patient monitoring and care in a paper charting environment

Requirements

• Active Nevada CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification
• ACLS, BLS, PALS (TBD)
• Recent outpatient surgical and obstetric anesthesia experience
• Ability to manage a broad case mix in a rural hospital setting
