About the Position

Urgent Care Physician | Georgia

Start: ASAP (per Order notes)

End: Ongoing PRN shifts (per Order notes)

Schedule: Varies by location. 8 or 12 hour shifts available, including 8:00a to 5:00p or 8:00a to 8:00p (per Order notes)

Travel and Lodging

• Mileage reimbursement may apply after 60 miles roundtrip, and lodging may be offered when working 2 plus consecutive days, per Order notes (per Order notes)

Position Overview

• Locum tenens urgent care coverage across multiple clinics in a region as needed (per Order notes)
• Typical cases include testing, x rays, sutures, 12 lead EKG reads, and physicals (per Order notes)
• Patient volume noted as up to 4 patients per hour (per Order notes)
• Ages: 2 plus (per Order notes)
• Provider will be working solo (per Order notes)
• Support staff: MAs. Some clinics have RNs and or LPNs as well (per Order notes)
• EMR: Experity (Velocidoc) (per Order notes)

Required Qualifications

• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with pediatrics experience (per Order notes)
• Urgent care experience within the past year required (per Order notes)
• Board certified (per Order notes)
• DEA required (per Order notes)
• NPDB self query required at presentation (per Order notes)
• Clean background required by client (per Order notes)

Commitment Expectation

• Minimum commitment of 6 to 8 shifts per month (per Order notes)

Additional Notes

• Providers must be within 30 to 45 miles of the center and willing to travel within the region to cover clinics (per Order notes)
• Provider must be proficient in suturing, I and D, digital block, and reading their own x rays with no over read (per Order notes)

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Onboarding timeline noted as 1 week plus an in person shadow date (per Order notes)
