About the Position

PERM - Physician - Hematology Oncology

Join Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama, as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and become a vital part of a growing healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hospital-employed setting, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, within a state-of-the-art Cancer Center. Enjoy a collaborative environment with onsite radiation therapy, infusion services, and access to multidisciplinary tumor boards, all aimed at delivering comprehensive patient care.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
• Valid medical license to practice in Alabama
• Proven expertise in managing hematology and oncology cases
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with inpatient and outpatient oncology care
• Familiarity with radiation therapy and infusion procedures
• Participation in tumor boards and cancer registries
• Prior experience in a hospital setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Completion of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship
• Recent graduates or experienced physicians considered
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
• Visa candidates accepted for 2027

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Shared call at 1:4
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Ability to adapt to a multidisciplinary team environment
