About the Position

Emergency Medicine physician coverage is needed in Alabama at a combined ED and Urgent Care within a Level II hospital, with no call and 12 hour shifts available in both days and nights.

Practice Setting

• 38 bed combined ED and UC at a tertiary Level II hospital
• Average volume around 140 patients per shift
• All ages, ED cases with integrated urgent care flow
• Support includes at least one APC in urgent care with overlapping coverage during the day and evening

Schedule

• Typically 5 to 8 shifts per month
• 12 hour shifts, rotating options across days and nights
• Shift blocks include 6a to 6p, 6p to 6a, and 10a to 10p
• No call

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Any active state license
• Cerner charting
