OB Hospitalist Opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa with No Call

Step into a true shift-based OB Hospitalist role where your time off is protected and your clinical focus stays entirely in the hospital. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule, strong subspecialty support, and consistent delivery volume in a well-established program. You'll join a collaborative environment designed to support both clinical efficiency and long-term stability.

Practice Overview

• You'll care for OBED patients and unassigned emergent cases including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN procedures
• High-volume program with ~3,000 annual deliveries and a dedicated OBED seeing ~1,400 visits annually
• Practice within a large hospital featuring a Level III NICU, multiple labor suites, and strong postpartum support
• Access to subspecialists including MFM and a dedicated maternal transport team

Schedule

• Approximately 78 24-hour in-house shifts per year
• Fully shift-based model with no call responsibilities
• Flexible scheduling structure designed for predictability and time off
• No clinic responsibilities, focus entirely on inpatient care

Candidate Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Comfortable managing OBED patients, deliveries, and surgical cases
• Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates
• Visa sponsorship available (J-1 and H-1B)
