Physician (MD/DO) - Internal Medicine - Critical Care in New York - A full-time Internal Medicine Physician (Nocturnist) is sought to join a growing hospitalist team in Rome, NY , offering an inpatient practice with excellent subspecialty and intensivist support . Key Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive inpatient care to 5–10 patients per night * Admit patients from the emergency department and direct physician referrals * Manage acute medical conditions , including those in the open ICU, with 24/7 intensivist support * Document encounters accurately using Paragon EMR * Collaborate with nursing, specialists, case managers, and ancillary teams to coordinate care * Arrange and coordinate discharge planning , ensuring smooth patient transitions * Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, handoffs, and quality improvement initiatives * Provide mentorship and support to residents, students, or advanced practice providers (if applicable) * Utilize evidence-based guidelines and maintain professional communication with patients and healthcare teams * Participate in departmental meetings, ongoing training, and CME activities * Additional Details: * New graduates who are Board Eligible within 1 year are welcome * 1 year of experience preferred, not required * Not accepting Locums or Visa candidates * 1099 candidates NOT accepted
