JOB DETAILS * Position: Hematology/Oncology Physician – Locum Tenens * Location: Eureka, California * Schedule: Clinic coverage with call support * Shift Times: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM * Shift Length: 8-hour shifts * Hours Per Week: Approximately 40 * Call: Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call; provider is on call 1 out of every 3 weeks * Coverage Type: Inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care * Estimated Weekly Pay: $15,570–$16,680 * Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days * Start Date: October 2026 JOB REQUIREMENTS * Board certified or board eligible within 3–5 years of residency in Hematology/Oncology * Active California medical license required * DEA certification required * BLS certification required * Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in Hematology/Oncology * Current CV required for presentation * Ability to provide two years of inpatient case logs to support privileging * Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained * Clean file preferred for temporary privileges consideration RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide comprehensive Hematology/Oncology care for inpatient and outpatient patients * Deliver clinic coverage and manage call responsibilities as scheduled * See approximately 12–15 patient encounters per shift * Respond to weeknight and weekend beeper call by phone as needed * Collaborate with the oncology care team to support continuity of care * Work closely with an oncology clinic connected to infusion and hospital services * Maintain timely documentation and clinical communication throughout the coverage period WHY THIS LOCUM TENENS ONCOLOGY OPPORTUNITY? * Competitive weekly compensation for a Northern California physician job * Balanced inpatient, outpatient, and clinic-based oncology practice * Supportive team environment in a scenic Eureka, CA healthcare setting * Flexible locum tenens schedule with meaningful patient impact Apply now for this Hematology/Oncology locum tenens job in Eureka, California, and join a dedicated healthcare team today.
