This role includes a mix of Surgical First Assist, Operating Room, and Medical-Surgical Floor coverage . 📍 LOCATION 50 Leroy St, Potsdam, NY 13676 Acute Care Hospital, 109 beds 🩺 RESPONSIBILITIES * Surgical first assist and OR support (General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics) * Medical-surgical floor coverage: rounding, progress notes, orders, discharges, consults * Assist in hemostasis, wound management, suturing, and patient positioning * Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff * Ensure quality, safe patient care at all times ⏰ SCHEDULE OVERVIEW * 8/6–8/8: 3x12-hour shifts * 8/21–8/28: Flexible – 5x8, 4x10, or 3x12s * Optional call: * Weekends: Friday 5p – Monday 7a; Sat-Sun 8a–12p * Weeknights: 4 shifts/mo, 5p–7a 👩‍⚕️ REQUIREMENTS * Physician Assistant with experience in hospitalist or surgical support * NY License in hand * Epic EMR experience required * AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications * Minimum 2 years recent relevant experience * Strong written and verbal communication   This is a great locum opportunity for an PA to gain hands-on surgical and hospitalist experience in a supportive environment.
