About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient and clinic settings on a day shift basis, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hospital hours from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM; no call is required. Clinical responsibilities include endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, sternal chest closure, and preferably CVICU experience, with an estimated patient volume of 10-20 patients per shift and 4-6 consults per day. A minimum of 4 years of cardiac surgery experience in the OR is required, along with demonstrated endoscopic vein harvesting proficiency. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
