Key Responsibilities: * Perform inpatient rounding on postoperative and preoperative patients, ensuring optimal recovery and patient safety. * Conduct surgical consultations, assisting in diagnostic assessments and treatment planning. * Provide emergency room call coverage, participating in urgent patient evaluations and interventions. * Manage a dedicated outpatient clinic one day per week, overseeing approximately 15-20 postoperative patients. * Assist in a variety of complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Thoracotomies, Lobectomies, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs, Aortovascular surgeries, and Aortic Valve Replacements. This volume provides ample opportunities for hands-on experience and professional growth. Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and current certification/licensure as a PA in Louisiana. * Prior experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgical settings is preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to perform confidently in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. * Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. * Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
