Position Summary: As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in sleep medicine within a telehealth practice, you will play a crucial role in providing sleep health services to patients remotely. This position combines your advanced skills, clinical expertise, and proficiency in telemedicine technologies to manage obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep disorders, educate patients, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals. You will primarily engage with patients through telecommunication platforms, ensuring accessibility and convenience for individuals seeking sleep-related healthcare services. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Virtual Consultations: Utilize telemedicine technologies to perform initial assessments, follow-up consultations, and patient education related to sleep disorders. Evaluate patient medical histories, symptoms, and sleep study results to manage and develop individualized treatment plans. Conduct remote physical assessments and assess patients' overall sleep health. Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and manage common sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea. Prescribe appropriate interventions, such as lifestyle modifications, sleep hygiene education, medication management, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy, and referrals for specialized treatments.
