There will be one clinic day per week and 5, 24-hour call days per month. The cases include C-sections, D&C, Ectopic Laparoscopic Surgery, EM Hysterectomy, Vaginal Lacerations, and OB/GYN surgery procedures. The average ppd is 10 - 20 and daily admissions is 5. There will be 90% adults with some teen pregnancies. Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Georgia - A hospital and OB/GYN clinic are seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. Get in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which includes Smithgall Woods and Unicoi. There will be delivery, in-office patient care, rounding when needed, and taking call. The schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9a-5p, and Friday from 9a-1p. There will be 4 variations of call. The first will be day call while onsite at the clinic. If there is an urgent call while at the clinic, the clinician does go into the hospital to respond. The coordinator will help work around the patient load at the clinic. This call is only for the specific providers patients this locum would be covering. The after-hour call is 5p-8a for 2 groups 1 day a week. There is a calendar that will tell the clinician which day of the week this will be on. The clinician will know maybe 2 weeks in advance which day it is. There will also be 1 weekend a month taking call for both groups as well. The facility will let the clinician know which weekend it is. The clinician will know maybe 2 weeks in advance which weekend it is. The last call is twice a month as a backup to the midwife, very rare, volume is 0-2. They are only requested to go in if there is a C-section that needs to be performed.
