Ideally looking for full-time candidates but will consider those seeking part-time opportunities.   Dates Needed: January 1, 2025 - September 1, 2025 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Call Requirements: * Weeknight call: 7 AM - 4 PM, every third night (flexible) * Weekend call: 24 hours, one weekend per month (1:4 call ratio)   About the Facility: This critical access hospital is located in the historic seaport of Belfast, Maine. The working environment is supported by a congenial and professional staff dedicated to patient care. Patient Demographics: Caring for a diverse patient age range from 3 to over 100 years old. Case Volume: Average of 14-16 surgical cases per day, including endoscopic procedures. Procedures Required: * General surgical cases for adults * Minor nerve blocks * Plexus anesthesia * Epidural anesthesia * Spinal anesthesia * Regional anesthesia * Obstetrical cases Support Criteria: Anesthesia is primarily physician-led, with no requirement to supervise CRNAs. This position involves a combination of outpatient clinic work and procedures, with no call requirements.   Start Date: January 1, 2025 – Ongoing Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Setting: Mix of Inpatient & Outpatient Clinical Responsibilities: * Manage an average of 12-14 office/clinic patients per day. * Provide care for approximately 10-12 hospital-based patients per day. * Perform required procedures including: * Small Bowel Biopsy * Lower GI Endoscopy * Sigmoidoscopy * Colonoscopy * Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube Upper GI Endoscopy Procedures: * With Biopsy * With Foreign Body Removal * With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser) * With Injection of Varices * With Banding of Varices * Diagnostic * Therapeutic * With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Practice Environment: * Endoscopy suite and office-based settings. * Focus on adult patient care in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
