Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Internal Medicine in Salem, VA - A nursing home is seeking a nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. While on assignment in Salem, Virginia, tube down the Roanoke River, explore downtown Roanoke, or visit Parkway Brewing Company! The schedule is full-time Monday- Friday 6 hours per day one site and then can go home and do 2 hours/day of charting if they would like. Patients are geriatrics, mostly long term care patients and 20% skilled nursing patients. The MD comes in 1 day per week. The EMR is Point click care/Gerimed. The locum must have a VA license. While on assignment in central California, make time to see Yosemite National Park on an off day! You could even head to the state capital, Sacramento for a fun day of site-seeing and amazing food! The schedule is Mon-Fri 8a-5p. Mostly treating medicare population. Duties include medicare assessments, physicals, annual check ups, and typical outpatient handling chronic issues.
