Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Anesthesiology in Boston, MA - A hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. While in Boston, Massachusetts, you have the opportunity to see one of the most historic cities in the United States. In between all the tours and famous sites, take a trip to Fenway Park or get some seafood at any of the downtown spots like the Union Oyster House that is one of the oldest restaurants still in operation today in the United States. The schedule is 5x8s, 4x10s,, 4x10s, or 3x12s. They use EPIC EMR. The clinician should be comfortable with high-risk OB and available to cover call if needed. Cases also include general, Endo, Ortho, Vascular, GI, and Urology with no heads or hearts. We use the Anesthesia Care Team model. MDs will be mostly supervising but occasionally doing their own cases. They have 2 month credentialing. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 7a-5p. There will be 12 or 16-hour shifts on Fridays for OB, 7a-7p or 7a-11p, and 24-hour weekend shifts for OB - Friday and Sunday (flexible to be in the OR as well during this shift). The EMR system is EPIC. The cases include General, Endo, Ortho, Vascular, GI, Urology, and no Heads or Hearts. CRNAs will be supervised. Credentialing is less than 2 months. The clinician's cases will be eyes, ear, nose, throat, head, and neck for adults and pediatrics (optional assignment to pediatrics if interested). There will be Supervision.
